CLEVELAND, Ohio – Ohio’s state parks and outdoor attractions are taking center stage in June as part of the statewide celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
Among the highlighted June events:
- The Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure, June 20-27, which follows U.S. Route 250 on a weeklong cycling tour that starts in Norwalk and includes stops in Shelby, Wooster and Ashland.
- “America 250 Ohio: Building an Innovative Water Economy,” a June 25 program at the City Club of Cleveland, featuring Bryan Stubbs, president and CEO of the Cleveland Water Alliance, presenting the 2026 State of the Great Lakes.
- The Escape to Freedom Canoe Paddle on June 19, which will take participants through Audubon Islands State Nature Preserve on the Maumee River, where a naturalist will share stories about the area’s role in the Underground Railroad.
