This panel brings together innovators, scientists, and civic leaders working to protect our most precious natural resource: Lake Erie. From microplastic filtration to acoustic telemetry and smart sensor deployment, new technologies are being tested and scaled across Northeast Ohio to monitor, clean, and sustain fresh water systems.

CWA's Director of Communications and Engagement, Samantha Martin, will be on this panel alongside CWA innovator Max Pennington, Co-founder & CEO of CLEANR.
Samantha blends a background of mission-based storytelling, collaborative stewardship, and process creation. She is passionate about engaging in her local community, serves on the Cuyahoga River AOC Advisory Committee as well as the Cleveland 2030 District Board. She holds a BA from Baldwin-Wallace College in Public Relations and Political Science.
