Innovation in the Great Lakes

Wednesday, September 30 at 11:15 AM CT | Hall B1 Booth 251

The Great Lakes region is home to one of the world's strongest water innovation ecosystems, where utilities, startups, industry, academia, and economic development organizations collaborate to accelerate the development of new technologies and solutions. Join Alaina Harkness, Karen Frost, and Natalie Van Scyoc for a discussion on how regional collaboration is advancing water innovation and strengthening the water sector. Panelists will share insights on building partnerships that support technology commercialization, create opportunities for innovators to pilot and scale solutions, and foster an environment that attracts investment and talent.

Through real-world examples and lessons learned, this session will highlight how collaboration across sectors is helping address today's water challenges while preparing communities and utilities for the future. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the Great Lakes innovation ecosystem and discover strategies adaptable to accelerate innovation in their own regions.
